The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival would not have lasted for as long as it has without the continued support of its sponsors, especially Barnfield Construction.
For more than a decade, the local building construction company has offered financial backing to the four day event, sponsoring all the Official Roadhouse venues and will continue to do so for 2016.
Tim Webber, Managing Director, said: “Barnfield Construction is delighted to continue its partnership with Pendle Leisure Trust and The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival. We are looking forward to celebrating the Festival’s 27th year with all the excitement and visitors it brings to the borough.”
For the eleventh consecutive year, we will again be working with Community Rail Lancashire to provide the popular Blues Train and extra and late trains will be added to the timetable to ensure visitors can get to and from the Festival safely and hassle-free.
Richard Watts, Chair of Community Rail Lancashire, said: "We are delighted to once again support this vibrant Festival and encourage as many people as possible to take the train. Colne station is located close to all the stages, making it a hassle and car free way to travel. Visit the CRL website at www.communityraillancashire.co.uk to download timetables and for the latest information."
Pendle Council continues to support the four day event, setting aside funds so that this year’s 27th Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival can go ahead, with Pendle Leisure Trust organising it on the Council’s behalf.
We must also thank our other sponsors, Radio Lancashire, who will once again take over the proceedings on the British Stage on the Friday night, providing a talented line-up of musicians, live broadcasts and celebrity interviews; and Coach House, who’s managing director is a great fan of the Festival and attends every year.
Festival spokesperson, Sue Madigan, said: “We are very grateful to all our sponsors who support us year after year and enable us to keep the Festival going.
“Their support enables us to provide such a fantastic event with some outstanding acts and put Colne well and truly on the music map!”
