Every year, we invite the best unsigned artistes to audition for their chance to perform at our Festival as part of Jessica Foxley Unsigned. These auditions have been held each year since 2010 in memory of Jessica Foxley, a talented musician who sadly lost her life. Jessica's legacy and love of music has lived on through the initiative which has provided unsigned artistes with a platform to catapult their careers.
This year in particular, we were inundated with auditions from some of the best unsigned artistes from every corner of the UK. So far we’ve introduced you to Tales of Two Counties, a local band with a big future and this week’s act has similar pedigree.
Good Foxy performed in front of a panel of judges at the ACE Centre last month and won their chance to become a part of the legacy at Europe’s Best Blues Festival.
The 5 piece band from Ribble Valley already boasts an impressive following across the regional amateur music scene. Having supported the legendary Status Quo in July, the unsigned act will bring the same confidence you would expect of any of our International Stage acts.
Performing at Europe’s Best Blues Festival will mark what has been an astonishing year for such a new band. With their debut album coming out in September, we’re tipping Good Foxy as ones to watch not only at this year’s Blues Festival, but as an act in general.
