Each year, we invite the best unsigned artistes to audition for their chance to perform at our Festival as part of Jessica Foxley Unsigned. These auditions have been held each year since 2010 in memory of Jessica Foxley, a talented musician who sadly lost her life. Jessica's legacy and love of music has lived on through the initiative which has provided unsigned artistes with a platform to catapult their careers.
Tales of Two Counties won over a panel of judges when they performed at the ACE Centre last month and will now get their opportunity to become a part of the legacy at Europe's Best Blues Festival.
Formed in 2013, Tales of Two Counties are a Folk/Rockgrass band with members from Lancashire and Yorkshire and a strong cult following from both sides of the Pennines too.
Already renowned across the local amateur music scene, Tales of Two Counties will bring a confidence and energy to the Matthew Clark British Stage. Band members Graham Thompson (lead vocals, mandolin), Jayke Cox (acoustic guitar, backing vocals), Joseph McManus (double bass, electric bass) and Daniel Loftus (drums, percussion) won't look out of place on the big stage as they hold their own amongst some of the true greats in Blues music.
The band uses traditional folk instruments played in a contemporary style, creating a rhythmical blend of British Folk Rock and Bluegrass.
With their unique sound and energy on stage, their performance is one not to be missed.
Tales of Two Counties will be a part of the legacy, will you? Get your tickets here.
