Ones to watch - Tommy Castro

Friday, 31st July 2015

Europe’s Best Blues Festival is now less than a month away and to celebrate, we've got a real treat for you with this week’s ‘ones to watch’.

To get you in the mood for the Festival, we've been showcasing different artiste’s from this year’s Festival each week. We've already brought you some of the biggest names in blues music but we’re not done yet.

This week’s artiste has real musical pedigree and is deeply-rooted into the blues industry. Tommy Castro began playing the guitar at 10 and hasn’t looked back since. Born in San Jose, California, Tommy has been performing across the United States from a young age.

A household name in America in 1990s, Tommy Castro’s band performed in front of millions of viewers every week as the house band on NBC TV. Success has always followed Tommy Castro’s career, in 2001 and 2002 Castro performed alongside the late B.B. King.

Famed for his powerful and fiery performances, Tommy Castro is certainly one to watch.

You can see Tommy Castro perform on Sunday 30th August when he closes the International Stage. Tommy Castro is a part of the legacy, will you be joining him? Get your tickets here.
