Putting Colne on the map!

Friday, 28th August 2015

For the last 26 years, The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival has been bringing the best in blues talent to Colne.

Recently named as Europe’s Best Blues Festival for the second year in a row, Colne’s Blues Festival draws in artistes and fans from all over the world and with that, a great deal of publicity into the town helping to put Colne on the map!

The Festival has been heavily featured on national TV and radio for a number of years and tonight, blues fans and Colne locals alike will have the chance to see their Festival on BBC News. BBC North West Tonight’s cameras have been filming at various locations in Colne all day and will present a live broadcast from the Festival itself this evening.

And the BBC Radio Lancashire team will also be presenting live from the Festival, as they broadcast live from our International Stage this evening.

Yesterday, our Festival was featured on ITV's Granada Reports and a lot of this year's artistes have been making a lot of noise already!

Will you be heading to this year's Festival? Make sure you join in the conversation by adding #ColneBlues to all of your social posts.
