Partner and Sponsorship Packages
This August the Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival celebrates its 28
th consecutive year at Colne as the premiere event of its kind in the UK.
2017 though is going to be a momentous year, unlike any other, and your business has a chance to be a part of it by joining the team as a partner or sponsor.
In an audacious move, Colne Town Council has taken over the event from Pendle Leisure Trust and brought in a triple British Blues Award-winning management team to put this legendary event right back on the top of the pile as Europe’s leading Rhythm & Blues festival.
In a radical shake-up, moving away from the heritage acts and focusing of the absolute cream of contemporary blues and roots, there is a new buzz to this festival, attracting a younger and broader audience. In previous years, the line-up would still be being decided but already this year many hundreds of tickets have been sold and there is real excitement and anticipation in the air.
It’s not all about the ticketed venues. With three of Colne’s largest licensed premises joining the ranks of the Official Roadhouse venues, the festival mojo is rising right across the town.
The numbers are quite astounding; 12 official stages, 112 acts, 158 separate performances and many thousands of visitors over one incredible summer weekend.
Don’t miss out. Get your business on board by discussing the opportunities with Colin Hill, Colne Town Council CEO on 01282 861888 or e-mail him on email@example.com now.

Lancashire is a county of contrasts.
Explore the delightful coastal areas of the Fylde and Morecambe Bay with dramatic views across to the Lakes; the historic towns and cities such as Lancaster and Ormskirk and discover the quiet countryside of the Ribble Valley and Pendleside dominated by Pendle Hill. Exploring Lancashire by rail can be fun and educational as well! Did you know that Clitheroe has what may be the smallest castle keep in the country or that Colne host’s one of the largest Rhythm and Blues Festivals in the world? There is so much to see, enjoy and learn and it can all be reached using Lancashire’s community rail network.
The Burnley Bus Company
Colne Town Council have teamed up with The Burnley Bus Company to provide a free-to-use 'hop and stopper' bus on the Saturday (26th August) and Sunday (27th August), that will drive Blues Festival goers to the outlying 'roadhouses' of the Colne and Nelson Rugby Club, The Colne Legion and The Admiral Lord Rodney.
This is a first for the festival and grateful thanks go to the Burnley Bus Company.
Howard Rigg Properties are delighted to be helping fund this programme and wish Colne Town Council every success in delivering this great festival.

Carlo’s Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria opened in Colne almost 30 years ago.
Come wine & dine in this charming restaurant – decorated in fine detail in the style of a charming Sicilian village. A feature of the restaurant is an impressive courtyard room – ideal for party bookings. Guests enter this “courtyard” dining area, through a stone archway with elegant wrought iron gates. The walls have frescos showing traditional Sicilian scenery and a Sicilian balconied house is depicted above the archway entrance.
From all at Carlos - Wishing the Blues Festival every success in this, its 28th year.
Colne Town Council was initially formed in 2008 to help boost events in the town, since then it has not only developed a full programme of events but has also taken on allotments, playgrounds bus shelters, street furniture and is now operating almost like a main council. There are plans to take on further services during 2017 - 2018 and the most noticeable at the moment, is taking on delivery of the Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival, so that Colne residents and businesses do not lose this opportunity to keep Colne on the map. The operational Team may be very small, but with Councillors are always up to the challenge of promoting Colne.
The Meeting Room
The Meeting Room Elland offers a selection of great blues gigs throughout the year, multi-functional entertainment and conference facilities, conveniently located in an atmospheric old woollen mill just a couple of minutes off junction 24 of the M62.
Jessica Foxley Music Projects is a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers, set up to give public exposure to outstanding young musicians and at the same time help sustain existing music making activities by introducing fresh, young talent.
