Mini Muni  |  Saturday  |  6:00pm

George Shovlin and The Radars, have had, and still have, one musical direction… to reproduce authentic early blues sounds in the 21st Century.
Much of the bands earlier music was radical rearrangement of familiar – and sometimes less familiar – blues. Songs like Muddy Water’s ‘Long Distance Call’, Furry Lewis’ ‘Pearline Blues’ and Brownie McGee’s ‘Sportin Life’ have undergone radical re-working. At the same time the band explore how to present their own material, without loosing their blues base.

’George Shovlin is inducted into the American Heritage Blues Hall Of Fame. He is an icon in local blues circles and thoroughly deserves his place…’
