23rd - 25th AUGUST 2019
1 GREAT FESTIVAL
30th YEAR ANNIVERSARY
MORE INFO COMING SOON
HALF DEAF CLATCH | The Little Theatre | Saturday | 12:00pm
Ladies and Gentlemen prepare yourself for an acoustic blues experience you will not forget in a hurry! Half Deaf Clatch – noted UK bluesman and purveyor of the critically acclaimed concept albums ‘The life and Death of A.J Rail’ and ‘CrowSoul’- will be bringing a brand-new blues stage show to Colne. Written especially for the festival and performed as an audio-visual experience different to anything you’ve seen before, this production will also tie in with the release of his next full-length album based on the show.
Yet this will be so much more than your average album launch; seeing and hearing will most certainly be believing. The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival will be the only place to hear this performance before the album’s release. Make sure you come along to witness this exclusive event!

SONGWRITING WORKSHOP | Mini Muni | Sunday | 2:00pm
Richard Townend holds a special songwriting workshop at this year’s event.
The workshop will be open to all levels of ability, from seasoned musicians to non-musicians and absolute beginners; all are welcome.
Expect a condensed workshop: playing of a song, discussing the song and the elements needed for a song, with the ‘audience’/workshop members fully involved.
Richard also plans to write a song with help from the members in the workshop group.

OFFICIAL FESTIVAL BUSKERS | Colne High Street | Saturday & Sunday | 2:00pm – 8:00pm
We have six dedicated busker gazebos placed across our (lovely) town of Colne on Saturday 25th August and Sunday 26th August, offering free-to-enjoy music from 2pm(ish) til 8pm(ish) each day.
If buskers leave out a hat/guitar case they will (kinda goes without saying) get to keep any coins or notes that come their way.

BLOOOZ BRUVVVERS | Colne High Street | Saturday & Sunday | Various Times
An entirely new show is created for this year’s festival: The Bloooz Bruvvvers ‘Walkabout’.
This is a musical comedy walkabout act, with singing and dancing and musicianship; singing a medley of songs from the film The Blues Brothers.
High and mighty ‘L.Wood’ has never been the same since he went out for a walk one day to stretch his legs while ‘Fake’ rides around on the one remaining wheel of the Blooozmobile!
FACE PAINTING | Albert Road | Saturday & Sunday | 1:00pm – 5:00pm
We’re offering free face painting as part of the festival fun.
Everyone likes a face paint. This is fun… and not just for the kids!?
