Tom Doughty has been described by some of the biggest names in the industry as one of the world’s finest lap-slide players.
When asked about his style, craftsmanship and stunning musicianship Doughty replies: “In 1963, a coracle was found floating in the river Weaver, near Frodsham. An unknown 6 year old boy was inside, sitting on an old wind up gramophone with a worn out 78rpm ‘Bukka White’ record underneath him singing “Jitterbug Swing”.
He was taken in by the local Blacksmith, Tony and his wife, Claire… they named him Tom and gave him a guitar.
