Announcing the line ups for the 2019 Mini Muni Stage

We’re pleased and proud to announce the line ups for the 2019 Mini Muni stage.

This 100 capacity venue was a new introduction to the festival for 2018… and was such a huge hit, it is back by popular demand for the 2019 event.

This space will showcase a range of blues music in all it’s beautiful forms – jazz blues, traditional blues, gospel blues, spiritual blues, 12-bar blues, rock n roll, urban blues, country blues… and more.

To witness (and enjoy) the musical diversity on this stage, will be to experience the impact that blues music, in its various guises, has had on influencing many strands of popular music.

The Mini Muni workshops will look at the role of harmonica, bass and drums in music, and in blues music in particular.

Expect music which connects with the soul; music to excite. This is a stage for art and self-expression via the medium of the blues.

Paddy, musical director for the festival, explains further, “during the 2018 event, the Mini Muni stage was packed throughout – with a buzzing atmosphere – proving that there is a love and a need for non-mainstream music within the blues genre. For 2019, we extend the offering at this popular stage to include Friday evening. The Friday evening showcases the most popular ‘buskers’ from the 2018 event. These guys played within the dedicated festival outdoor tents, and won the public vote for a main stage slot.
If you’re not yet familiar with all the artists playing this stage we urge you to check them out… and discover the searing talent on offer
