The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival in Colne, Lancashire is returning this August Bank Holiday weekend with tickets now on sale on the festival website, via this link: www.colneblueslineup.com

The festival was unfortunately cancelled in 2020 and 2021 due the global coronavirus pandemic but the festival returns to Colne with over 50 acts performing over the weekend. The main venues for this year’s festival are the Colne Muni and the Pendle Hippodrome and these stages have been programmed by our new Artistic Director, Peter Barton (Peter Barton Management). On the main stages you can see the likes of: Geno Washington, Lindisfarne, Kyla Brox, Dr Feelgood plus many more!

Gina Langley, Colne Town Council’s Town Clerk, said, “The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival is an iconic event for Colne, it sees thousands of people from across the UK and Europe come and visit our brilliant town and we cannot wait to welcome everyone this year. Tickets are selling quickly for the festival, and I would recommend getting your tickets as soon as possible as the festival will be hugely popular!”

The 2019 festival, which was the 30th Anniversary of the Festival, won the much-coveted UKBlues Award for the Best Blues Based Festival of The Year. The event in 2019 was an exceptional event which was loved and enjoyed by people all around the world. The event isn’t just a big event within Colne Town Council’s event schedule but also a major event in the UK Blues Festival calendar.

This year’s festival will run from Friday 26th August to Sunday 28th August with a brilliant range of live music across the main stages (Colne Muni & Pendle Hippodrome) as well as in the fringe venues across the town. For the 2022 festival, the fringe venues are being programmed by Colne Blues Society which is a small charitable trust whose members are extremely passionate about the local music scene and want to support the longevity of the festival.
