WE TEAMED UP WITH FOUR OF THE BEST BLUES CLUBS IN THE UK

We’ve teamed up with four of the best blues clubs around the UK, to help bring a wide range of acts to the festival this summer.

Each of the blues clubs – Enler Delta Blues Club (Northern Ireland), Edinburgh Blues Club (Scotland), The Mid Wales Rhythm and Blues club (Wales) and The Tuesday Night Music Club (England) chose an act which they love, and which best represents the blues-tinged music from their region.

Richard Dunning explains his Tuesday Night Music Club choice ~

“At The Tuesday Night Music Club we were hugely honoured to be selected as the one club in England to take a band to the main stage at Colne.

But how to choose just one band from the whole country that we felt would both benefit from being at The Festival and be representative of The Tuesday Night Music Club?

The decision was made that we’d put it to a public vote…

As soon as we announced it our email servers buckled under the weight of all the responses! Over a thousand votes for just shy of a hundred bands were sorted through and we were delighted to announce Rainbreakers as the band we were inviting.

The only complication was that the band were playing at a festival in Holland that weekend! But they were so eager to take up the invitation that they moved the Dutch festival day so that they could leave the stage in Holland, drive all night and appear at The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival”.

The Troy Redfern Band (Wales pick)
Delta Fuse (Northern Ireland pick)
and
Andy Gunn (Scotland pick)
