The Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival, Colne is nominated for a UK Blues Award.

Naomi Crewe, Clerk of Colne Town Council (2020 is the fourth year the council have organised and managed this event) says “It’s fabulous to be shortlisted, thanks to all who nominated us. The festival is among very good company in the ‘Blues Based Festival of the Year’ category, but if you’d like to vote for us, that would be wonderful. We’d love the blues festival in Colne to be crowned the best in the UK and be awarded for all that it brings to the area.”

As well as the festival receiving a nomination, many acts playing the festival this summer are also nominated for awards, including Dom Martin, Connor Selby, Kyla Brox, Matt Long And The Revenant Ones, The Achievers, The Cinelli Brothers and many more.

An estimated 25,000 people attended the 2019 festival, making this event not only Europe’s ultimate contemporary blues festival, but also a one-of-a-kind and much-loved festival for people of the local area.

The UKBlues Federation will proudly present the 2020 UK Blues Awards Event on Sunday 17th May at Dingwalls in Camden, London.
