Parking is free across Colne for the weekend of the Blues Festival.
Road Closures
For the event to run safely, it is necessary to close the main road through the Town. Albert Road (from the Junction of Queen Street up to the Junction of Market Street / Market Place (Altham’s Travel) from 5 pm on Friday, 28th August until 2 am on Saturday, 29th August. The road will then close again at 10 am on Saturday, 29th August and not reopen until 2 am on Monday, 31st August.
Car Parks
We appreciate that access to car parks is important for customers and staff.
A limited number of car parks will need to be closed for the duration of the festival and these include:
Red Lion Car Park – Thursday from 6 am until 6 pm on Monday.
All other car parks are FREE to use over the festival weekend.

As usual all ‘Mainline’ buses will be running to Colne throughout the Festival.
There will be some disruption due to road closures in the town centre.
Road Closures
However, due to the road closures required for the event to take place, buses travelling from Burnley will divert down Whitewalls Drive and then along Vivary Way and North Valley before continuing their normal route. Buses heading towards Burnley will divert along the North Valley, onto Vivary Way and down Whitewalls Drive before continuing with their normal route.
Whether you are travelling to Colne from Carbis Bay, Carmarthen or Caldercruix, the only way to go is by train!
