Pete Greenwood gained his reputation as a guitarist during his university studies, and an extensive period of gigging in South London. The hours put in and the experience gained landed him tours in The UK, Europe and North America as an in-demand session guitarist.

Upon returning to London after a trip to Japan/US with Mojave 3, he found himself with a record contract and an album’s worth of original solo material. 2008 saw the release of his debut album “Sirens”.

Met with critical acclaim, he then juggled projects with The Loose Salute, The See See, and session work for Starsailor, with tours alongside The Magic numbers, Goldfrapp, The Raconteurs and The Brian Jonestown Massacre to name a few.

Again, the second album “Beauceron” was written in a similar vein and released after his return to Yorkshire and a break from touring in 2015. Pete followed this with “Radio Slow”, recorded with The Dark Stars in a flurry of pre-covid activity and released in 2020.

Although from Leeds, Pete is a great supporter of the Colne music scene, so we’ll claim him as one of our own!
