A Tribute to Rod Mayall

A collective of musicians from the Stockport and Manchester scene coming together to honour the late Rod Mayall.

Jon Ingham

Jon has played many times on Beale Street in Memphis during the ‘Memphis in May’ festivals since 2001. He has performed at BB King’s club on Beale and also Buddy Guy’s Legends in Chicago. Jon is responsible for initiating the Stockport Blues Society monthly jam which has now been running for ten years. His first pick for the house band was of course, Rod Mayall on Hammond. Jon’s most recent projects include Trilogy and Bridgewater Blues Band.

Dave Eatock

Dave is a veteran of the UK North West blues scene. A former front man, vocalist, and harp player for Raw Deal, Bridgewater Blues and others, Dave is a ‘dedicated servant of the Chicago blues!’

Andy Millington

Current guitarist for The Amanda Jane Heywood Band, Andy has previously played with The Black Cat Blues Band, The Bridgewater Blues Band and many others. Andy is heavily influenced by blues, swing, rockabilly, and roots music.

John Brett

When asked for a contribution to this bio John was reluctant to ‘blag’ about himself so we’ll do it for him. John has shared stages with Robert Cray, Paul Jones, Taj Mahal, Chris Farlowe, Norman Beaker, Paul Young and many others. He has been a prominent figure in the Greater Manchester music scene for many years.

Linda Lamon & Niall Brett

An established singer songwriter in the UK and a veteran of the 1960’s blues scene in Manchester and London, Linda has paired up with rising young guitarist Niall, who’s playing thrilled the audience at the 2025 Nantwich Blues Festival and R&B clubs in Stockport, Wilmslow and Tameside.

Mandy Montgomery

Mandy is an accomplished vocalist and harmonica player. Currently playing with Montgomery’s Angels, 60% Angels and Montgomery Swann, Mandy hosts the Stockport Blues Jams and festivals at the Spinning Top. She has shared stages with all of the musicians in this tribute along with Rod Mayall.
