Bison Hip continue to prove that it’s never too late to rock with soul, swagger, and a story to tell. Hot on the heels of 2024’s acclaimed album Welcome To The Rest Of Your Life, the band have unleashed their third full-length record: Everything That Came Before Was Just Leading Up To This — a title that perfectly captures their journey so far.

Formed during a lockdown Zoom call in 2020, Bison Hip bring together five seasoned musicians—four of whom are over 50—with a mission to craft authentic blues-rock that reflects real life and lived experience.

“We’ve never tried to be anything we’re not,” says frontman Paul Sloway. “This new album feels like the culmination of everything we’ve worked towards.”

Their music is a gritty, heartfelt blend of pain, loss, joy, and hard-earned optimism—songs that speak to the trials and triumphs of life’s later chapters. As Paul puts it, “We’re getting older, sure—but the best years aren’t behind us. They’re still to come.”

Following a string of raucous UK shows and growing praise from fans and critics alike, Bison Hip are cementing their reputation as a blues-rock powerhouse with something vital to say. With Everything That Came Before Was Just Leading Up To This, and the brand new single, Chemicals, Bison Hip are showing no signs of slowing down.

Bison Hip are:

Paul Sloway – vocals
Malcolm Button – drums
Steven Radziwonik – keys
John Gilmour Smith – guitar
Graeme Carswell – bass

“There’s plenty more to come, we’re on our way up!”
