Exchange Project Stage | 20:30 – 21:30
Harris Rafferty is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from the northwest of England, known for crafting evocative songs rooted in both personal experience and keen observation. Growing up in the foothills of the Pennines, surrounded by the fading echoes of old mill towns, he channels soulful, authentic lyrics into a sound that lives up to his mantra: “No Gimmick Indie Rock.”
Over the years, Harris Rafferty has played at a wide range of venues across the North West, sharing stages with a variety of artists. From legendary figures like PP Arnold to rising talents such as Che Aimee Dorval, Ashley Campbell, and The Franklin Electric, as well as genre-blending acts like Jeramiah Ferrari and Merry Hell, his performances continue to resonate with diverse audiences.
Now working on his debut EP – Harris draws from the sounds of Sam Fender, Paolo Nutini, The Killers, and Wunderhorse, blending Britpop textures with raw indie rock energy. The project is poised to make waves across the indie scene and mark a major step forward in his artistic journey.
His debut single, “Eighteen,” is a reflective anthem about the trials of growing up, managing expectations, and navigating the often murky path into adulthood. The track has received warm praise across the Lancashire music scene, serving as a powerful introduction to a promising new voice in British indie.
