If you’d like to follow in the footsteps of Martin Bedford, designer of the iconic posters for the 2017 Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival, and create the series for 2018’s event, read on for more information.
The dates for the 2018 festival are Friday 24th, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th August 2018 aka August Bank Holiday Weekend 2018.
Plans are underway for the 2018 Colne Blues Festival, and a new website is being built in it’s honour! Please do keep checking back. The new site is currently in the planning stages, but will be on line before too long.
The sale of the festival merchandise helps to fund future events.
Tshirts, caps, posters, postcards and more will be on sale via our site very soon.
The festival has been deemed a huge success and many have praised both the organisation of the event and the ‘positive atmosphere’ around the town. Estimated numbers for attendance are between 15,000 and 20,000 people. Many local visitors enjoyed this years festival, with others known to have travelled from Spain, France, Germany and from all parts of the UK to be part ‘the best festival of it’s kind of in Europe’.
The ‘on stage times’ for the ‘headline’ venues over the weekend are:
7.15pm – 8pm 1st act on stage
8.30 – 9.30pm 2nd act on stage
10 – 11.30 headline act on stage
12 – 1am – midnight jam session at the Muni***
And there are only very limited tickets currently available…
Tickets are on sale until 8pm tonight at the Colne Town Council Town Hall, then very limited tickets are available on the door of each ‘headline’ venue (subject to availability).
The town hall box office is then open from 10am until 8pm each day until Sunday 27th August.
